Religious or Regenerated?
Religious or Regenerated?
And when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto His disciples,
Why does your Master eat with the publicans and sinners?
But when Yeshua heard this, He said unto them,
They that be whole need not a physician, but they that are sick.
But go ye and learn what that means, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice:
For I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
They that be Tamiym, (perfect or complete) need not a Physician, but they that are sick. True enough some of us are more prone to sickness than others, but the fact remains we’ve all been sick… even if it’s only been a little sniffle. So, for those who deny their need of Yeshua as Saviour and Mashiyach there’s not a lot one can say, maybe we could show them through the Eser HaDibrot, “The 10 Words”, the “Big Ten”… plainly understood as “The Ten Commandments”, if they haven’t violated any of these, then maybe they’re good to go, but maybe not.
If someone even thinks about violating one of the Ten Commandments, they’ve already proven their need of Redemption. Let’s say we’re on the Road to Redemption, we confess all our sins and accept the Arm of YHWH revealed in Mashiyach Yeshua, what then? No more sinning?… nothing? That’s impossible, the fact of the matter is once we understand what sin is, the “darn stuff” seems to pop up in more places! Our senses become sharpened, the Ruach of YHWH convicts us when we’ve “missed the mark”. Sometimes if we don’t hurry to set things right, YHWH takes us on a trip to “the woodshed”, we feel separated from Him, our Joy is gone, we grieve, we sorrow, we are miserable because we know we need atonement (restoration). The question is how do we go about being restored to YHWH and to each other?
We all have two basic options if we want to make things right. We either look for a doctrinal religious theological solution, or, we bring our souls before YHWH and cry out to Him asking Him for forgiveness and how to make restitution to those we’ve violated. The religious doctrinal fix is a fairly painless way to go, just tell your pastor, priest or rabbi what happened, he’ll likely wag his head a few times, then he’ll hold your hand, give you a dissertation about the Wonderful Love of YHWH and send you away.
Well, maybe you might drop a few sheqalim (dolleros) into the religious coiffures, and then you’re free to go. The BIG problem with this scenario is that YHWH says that whenever one of us trespasses against someone else, we are also trespassing against Him.
And YHWH spoke unto Moshe, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, When a man or woman shall commit any sin that men commit, to do a trespass against YHWH, and that person be guilty; Then they shall confess their sin which they have done: and he shall recompense his trespass with the principal thereof, and add unto it the fifth part thereof, and give it unto him against whom he has trespassed. But if the man have no kinsman to recompense the trespass unto, let the trespass be recompensed unto YHWH, even to the priest;B’midbar (Numbers) 5:5-8
Being restored unto YHWH and His Mashiyach requires that we confess our sins one to an other and pray for one another, but also requires that we make restitution to the one who was injured. We must restore the principle amount of the damages and “add unto it the fifth” part thereof. This is how YHWH instructed us to also show the injured party we are truly repentant for what we did and make it right by them. Of course there are many factors in Yeshua Mashiyach that help us to make restitution, our calling in Him as Priests and Kings, helps us to Sanctify His Name. When we trespass against someone else as His Followers, we risk jeopardizing the Testimony of Mashiyach, true disciples are not to be going about misrepresenting their Master. Some people might be tempted to conclude that our Master is not doing anything about our violation of His Word and His Standards! Being regenerated in Him according to His Word provides us with an opportunity to testify that we are in fact following a Righteous Master, because although others may not provide restitution, WE WILL! Being restored according to Torah requirement also provides and opportunity for the Spiritual Gifts in us to be stirred up to advance His Kingdom. The regeneration in our souls sees and admits to our short comings, we see our frailty, but we also see how Righteousness is establishing itself within our soul, so we don’t continue in sin any more
A religious person can easily continue in sin because his religion impersonalizes his sin, and he turns it into a theology about sin. Religion provides many formulae to deny sin, theology itself gets elevated as the standard, therefore Faith is not a brotherhood with each other in Yeshua or a relationship with the Master, it’s an “intellectual” commodity.
Knowing Yeshua Mashiyach is our opportunity to have Mashiyach Himself live inside of us and uphold us and strengthen our lives, we will not fall because we know He is with us each day. This is another reason why it is so important to be lovers of Torah, the Word of YHWH. The Torah requires, B’midbar (Numbers) 15, that we tie a blue thread into our tzit tzit (fringes). We are required to have these tzit tzit (strings) as a reminder to train our hearts to be loyal to YHWH. In His Mercy YHWH gave us this Commandment so that we would not be trapped and fall by our hearts wandering away from Him. But really, I don’t know how many times I’ve heard religious people say something like, “tzit tzit aren’t going to stop me from sinning”.
I find that a very sad confession, you can’t argue with someone who says something like this, because NOTHING is going to STOP them from sinning, they’ve already decided they’re are going to keep right on sinning regardless of how we or the Spirit of YHWH tries to help them. That is what their religion tells them, doesn’t it? Where do you think they would get such an idea? Tzit Tzit are a simple act of FAITH, we wear Tzit Tzit because YHWH told us to, as a way to remind us who we are. It’s also a beautiful way to remember our brothers who also wear tzit tzit, we know they’re taking their walk in Yeshua seriously, we do Torah so we don’t fritter away Yeshua’s blood.
Some people think that all their righteousness is filthy rags, based on this thinking it’s they are helpless sinners who can never get a grip. Sadly, these folks have never learned the fact that both in Tanakh and the New Testament the dichotomy between the spiritual and carnal man is blockquoteed. In our carnal flesh yes indeed, all our “righteousness” is as filthy rags, but in our spiritual man, regenerated in Y’shua our love of His Torah is His Righteousness birthed within us. A beautiful magnificent promise, this is why Yahweh Tsidkenu (Yahweh our Righteousness) is a title of YHWH that is fulfilled in Mashiyach Y’shua. The regenerated soul walks in Torah, having a circumcised heard, and carefully observes all these things YHWH has commanded us to do, because EVERYTHING YHWH commanded us, is done in Yeshua Mashiyach. Yeshua is THE LIVING WORD of YHWH, HE is altogether Righteous and he strictly commanded us regarding the ‘WEIGHTIER MATTERS OF TORAH”
Judgment Faith Mercy
Judgment is committed to us who follow Yeshua, we are required to JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLY, we cannot help but Judge because this is an office given to us. We must take up this responsibility each of us, we cannot look to others who are outside of the Body of Mashiyach to Judge either us, or our Faith. We must establish YHWH’s Judgments in our lives for ourselves and others. We must know that YHWH’s Judgments are altogether Righteous, there are no Higher Judgments on earth, or in Heaven that what YHWH has provided in His Word. Faith is our walk, Faith is doing Torah, Faith is putting on tzit tzit and not sinning, Faith is Believing that YHWH is a Wonderful Father who is a Rewarder of Those who Diligently Seek Him! Faith is our Action. Faith is proving to YHWH, ourselves and others that we have passed from Death to Life, we are REGENERATED. Faith is not a theology or a religion, even a belief. FAITH is doing, walking in HIM, praying, Living for Him, loving His Commandments, and putting away the carnal man.
Mercy because this is the Character of YHWH and His Mashiyach, without mercy there is no regeneration of our souls. Mercy does not overlook sin and transgression, it recognizes that we are not skillful enough sometimes to hit the mark, so we sin. Mercy says though you might fall down, you will always still be worth picking up. Your Soul, your Life and Your Destiny in YHWH is secure. NOTHING will bring you down if you walk in YHWH and His Mashiyach. The Mercy YHWH has demonstrated to us provides us with full confidence that He forgives Sin and restores us back to Himself. If we are wise, we will Go to Him for Mercy, His mercy is authentic. Man has a tendency to put forth sentiments and emotion and call this mercy, but true mercy requires sacrifice, this is why Yeshua is the door to Life. Yeshua made the ultimate sacrifice because He was sinless, the charges put against Him were made out of nothing but fear and envy. YHWH made Yeshua the acceptable sacrifice, as the Mercy SEAT in the Kadosh Kadoshim (Set Apart of Set Apart place) is made out of pure GOLD, so is the Mercy YHWH extends to all who come to Him with a broken and contrite heart.
Halleluyah!”So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My Mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.” Isaiah 55:11
“Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”Psalm 119:105
“The Torah of YHWH is perfect, converting the soul:the Testimony of YHWH is sure, making wise the simple. The Statutes of YHWH are right, rejoicing the heart:the Commandment of YHWH is pure, enlightening the eyes. The Fear of YHWH is clean, enduring for ever:the Judgments of YHWH are true and righteous altogether.More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned:and in keeping of them there is great reward. Psalm 19:7-11
NOW, let’s THROW RELIGION OUT THE WINDOW permanently
so we can walk in YHWH’s
TORAH, TESTIMONY, STATUTES, COMMANDMENT, FEAR and JUDGMENTS!
We Don’t NEED Religion or any other thing,if we have Yeshua Mashiyach and YHWH’s TORAH!”
O give thanks unto YHWH; for He is good: for His mercy endures for ever.”Psalm 136:1
YHWH be with you,
