Torahconsciousness is the mind of Mashiyach that enables a soul to see the Torah through the “eyes” of Mashiyach. To enter in to Messiah Consciousness we have Torah written upon our hearts. Torah is defined by Scripture as “INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS”. Torah is the Living Word of YHWH and the Covenant which has been made for all who would know the Creator of the Universe. Each week as we live in and experience a parasha (portion) in Torah, we are being transformed into a Kedoshim (a Set-Apart Holy People) as the Family of YHWH according to our forefathers, Avraham, Yitzak and Ya’akov and also through the example of Mashiyach.
We learn through our forefathers whom YHWH raised up to be the fathers of the One True Faith. We learn how the Word of YHWH (Mashiyach) spoke with Avraham and made Covenant with him and how Avraham entered into a Love Relationship with YHWH, by being visited by the Word of YHWH. We learn about Righteous, Justice, Mercy, and Grace, and we learn about the Righteousness of YHWH that He causes to dwell in His people. We learn how to enter into the Mind of Mashiyach. Y’shua is the Living Word of YHWH made manifest in the flesh. Y’shua Mashiyach has always dwelt among His people in the Spirit of Mashiyach which is the Ruach haKodesh, the Spirit of YHWH that has ALWAYS been among earthlings.
Mashiyach came to earth in the physical body of Y’shua, the man Y’shua carried all the emotion and vitality of a human being but he was animated by the Spirit of YHWH. Through the Spirit of YHWH, Y’shua demonstrated the fullness of Torah by living a sinless life. Torah Consciousness comes about by observing Torah, by trusting in the Word of YHWH and identifying and knowing YHWH according to Torah through the work of the Ruach haKodesh. Torah Consciousness is about having the Torah written upon our hearts by the Spirit of Mashiyach, this is what Jeremiah referred to as the “New Covenant” in Jeremiah 31:31-34. Torah Consciousness is about becoming a peculiar treasure unto YHWH, whether Jew or non-Jewish Believer in Y’shua the Torah is Life and through entering into Torah a person’s spirit becomes trained in Mashiyach.
Religion has cast some very nasty teachings against Torah. Rabbinical Judaism and Christianity do wickedness against Torah by upholding false values and teachings that oppose Torah. Rabbinical Judaism teaches that Torah is not for the Goyim (the Nations) only for Jews, Rabbis teach that Jews are the only true stewards of the Word of YHWH. Rabbinical Judaism teaches Noachide laws for Gentiles, this is a Rabbinical invention bred from the selfish ambitions of the carnal flesh. Rabbinical Jews say that the Gentiles would only mess up the Torah so they refuse to teach Torah to the Goyim. But Torah teaches us that the Ger Toshav (Sojourner) is to be part of TORAH along with all of Israel and that a mixed multitude was on hand when YHWH gave Torah to Moshe.
“All the congregation of Israel shall keep it. And when a stranger shall sojourn with thee, and will keep the Passover to YHWH, let all his males be circumcised, and then let him come near and keep it; and he shall be as one that is born in the land: for no uncircumcised person shall eat thereof. One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourns among you.”
“Ye shall have one manner of law , as well for the stranger, as for one of your own country: for I Am YHWH your Elohim.”
“And if a stranger sojourn with you, or whosoever be among you in your generations, and will offer an offering made by fire, of a sweet savour unto YHWH; as ye do, so he shall do. One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourns with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before YHWH. One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourns with you. And the YHWH spoke unto Moses, saying, Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land whither I bring you…”
Rabbinical Judaism wants you to think they “own” Torah and they’ve put the Almighty into a religious box, they’ve made a golden calf of themselves from which to enslave followers and prevent souls from entering into the Malchut Elohim. The fact of the matter is that most Jews will not have anything to do with Torah or Religion because of how Rabbis manipulate people with their religious traditions. Whenever there is an issue where Jews are seeking freedom of expression apart from Rabbinical authority, the traditions of the Rabbis close up that freedom with more tradition.
Christian leaders teach that Torah is only for Jews only or that Torah has been “nailed to the cross”. This is a convenient way for Christians to live carnal lives while claiming to be “born again”. Christians are adamant about teaching a Greek origin of the Ketuvim Netzarim (writings of the Netzarim) which they call “the New Testament”, but it is in and through Hellenized religion that Christianity established the false identity which teaches that to be “Born Again” means to live according to the doctrines and traditions of a denominational religion. The Scriptures teach that being “Born Again” means to be born from the beginning, to walk in the path of the Perfection in Mashiyach, to become a New Creation and have Torah written on the heart. This is the New Covenant of Jeremiah 31:31-34 yet Christians are wilfully ignorant of the part about Torah being written upon the heart. Theologians spiritualize Torah into a religious oblivion by suggesting that because Y’shua kept Torah perfectly that they don’t even have to lift a finger to allow Torah to be written up their hearts.
At Sinai there was a mixed multitude of people in attendance who fled Egypt along with the Tribes of Israel. Rabbis suggest that Torah was given in 70 languages so that all present could understand Torah. Torah states that the mixed multitude sojourned along with Israel and these non-Israelite souls also entered into new Life, not as second class citizens but as equals who are also considered a Special Treasure unto YHWH. Calev wasn’t born a Jew, neither was Ruth, but both were given extremely important roles in the Kingdom of Elohim, which clearly indicates that YHWH and His Mashiyach intend for the common good of Torah to be universal and not be held hostage by religious status quo groups. There are many examples in Torah that indicate Torah is to be made plain to everyone. Torah is not complicated so that only a group of “lawyers” can understand it and interpret it for others. Torah Consciousness is the ability to know how to live a life pleasing to YHWH and to hear and obey the Word of YHWH and change or lifestyles and be transformed from this worlds value systems.
Torah teaches that YHWH is Elohim and there is One Father and One Elohim (Mighty One) who is known as God. The Word of YHWH is True and Just altogether and all who turn to YHWH and do what pleases YHWH shall be saved from their carnal nature. Torah teaches about “conversion” for Jew and non-Jew alike, the whole nation of Israel after leaving Egypt went through a “conversion”, they all went through a mikveh (baptism) when they crossed the Red Sea. Calev was not born into the Tribe of Yehudah (Judah) he converted and became part of Yehudah. Ruth converted which means she put away paganism and lived according to Torah. Conversion is a term of religion but Torah says we are to make Teshuva (turn to YHWH) and live according to Torah (instruction in righteousness), but conversion for most people seems to be simply choosing a religion or denomination to be part of.
Torah Consciousness reveals YHWH’s authority within the soul, each person is to put away rebellion or religious ideas that are contrary to YHWH and accept the purity of the Word of YHWH as the only and eternal authority for Justice and Truth. Torah Consciousness is the right way to live because it is Truth. But many souls can only see Torah through the doctrines and traditions of men which teach perversion of Torah. It is Torah which provides the most complete and equal Justice system for mankind, yet many religious people see Torah as either a harsh set of legalistic requirements, or as though they alone have exclusive rights to Torah, this is what religion teaches about Torah because all religions are designed to protect themselves from certain extinction.
Torah Consciousness is Messiah in us, the Hope of Glory because Love is Perfected by obedience to Torah. Torah is the government of Mashiyach because Torah was and is given by the Spirit of YHWH and is therefore Perfect. King David said that the Torah of YHWH is Perfect converting the soul, therefore it is incumbent upon each one to learn about Torah not from a religion about Y’shua (or Jesus) but from the Spirit of YHWH reveals Torah to mankind. In other words there is a big difference between listening to what religious people think about Torah and listening to YHWH who revealed Torah. When the Spirit of YHWH reveals Torah there is no burden of DO’s and DON’Ts, or a negative “do we have to do this?” but rather we find LIFE in Torah and we see how observing Torah extends our spiritual being into the Olam haBa (Word to Come). The only element of mankind that is eternal is our spiritual (neshama) being our flesh and soul is temporary but there is a part of our soul (identity), will and emotions that is mixed within our neshama. In other words we know that water is made up of oxygen and hydrogen and so is our “soul” a mixture of spirit and human (carnal) thought, but in reality we are not necessarily cognisant as to what percentage of our thoughts are in Mashiyach and what percentage are outside but there will be a separation once Mashiyach returns.
Torah Consciousness comes about by observing Torah. As we observe Torah our spirits gain the “thoughts” of the Spirit of YHWH, we see how time belongs to YHWH and how He has ordained Shabbat to protect our spirits and draw close to him. Religion has made Torah a burden and a disdainful thing because Torah judges the hearts of man by offering a choice to be obedient. Religion also offers a choice to be disobedient to YHWH.
Torah Consciousness is the Mind of Messiah because it was the Word of YHWH (Mashiyach) who gave Torah to Moshe. There is a religious veil over many eyes when they approach Torah because of what man’s religions have done to make void the Torah in favour of religion. One example of Torah Consciousness is regarding RESTING IN YHWH. There remains a Shabbat (REST) for the people of Elohim. The Seventh Day Shabbat is a time when we cease from our own labors and enter into the labors of the Malchut Elohim which is prayer, study, meditation on the Word of YHWH, singing, rejoicing, fellowshipping, learning and sharing etc about YHWH and His Mashiyach. But the Shabbat is being taught as a burdensome thing by false religion, some religious people even state that “we don’t have to keep Shabbat”! They don’t “have” to keep Shabbat? How shocking and telling of their motive to do what is right in their own eyes. So religious people make up their own celebrations and make void the Moedim (appointed times) of YHWH by their own traditions. YHWH’s Word says that we should REST IN HIM, but the tradition of man says no.
Torah Consciousness is knowing that Torah is the unchanging WORD of YHWH.
As we read and study Torah we glean spiritual and natural truths about Life and the Giver of Life. We can see how much YHWH loves His Creation and how He has given purpose for each soul. What we never see in Torah is anyone being marginalized or lessened by Torah, it is the choices of each individual to do good or evil by which they value their own life. Each soul is highly prized and extremely valuable because we are made according to the “Image of Elohim.” YHWH imparts a portion of Himself into every person and Torah Consciousness is our connection in Him. As we invite the Ruach haKodesh into our hearts, minds, souls and spirits we grow in Torah Consciousness and are able to differentiate between good and evil behaviour. Before Y’shua came to earth Torah provided the only avenue to Messiah Consciousness, it is Torah that reveals the Mind of Mashiyach. When Y’shua came he demonstrated how Torah is to be written upon the heart, he magnified Torah within the thought of man. What we think in our heart about others is how we are judged because Torah is spiritual and internal, not external. It is Gnosticism and religion that made Torah into an “Old” Testament and taboo among the intellects of the modern area, both religious and secular.
Y’shua is the Living Torah so if we observe Torah, the Spirit of Mashiyach abides in our hearts like that of our forefathers Avraham, Yitzak and Ya’akov. It is Mashiyach who lived in King David’s heart, the Ruach haKodesh inspired David to write the beautiful psalms of love and life according to the revelation he was given in Mashiyach. David saw the beauty and majesty of YHWH through being obedient to Torah and observing YHWH’s Word. However the carnal man would rather focus on David’s failing and his humanity rather than his triumphs as a spiritual man who YHWH chose as King of Yisrael.
Torah Consciousness brings an end to our own agendas, and we learn to live according to righteous living and become a peculiar people from the world who are full of the Joy of YHWH. Our heritage is together as one people in the Kingdom, Jew and Ger Tsedec who fear the Living Elohim and call upon His Name. As Avraham went to himself (Lech Lecha) so must each one of us in Y’shua go within ourselves and let Mashiyach transform us into new Creations, this is Torah Consciousness. Abram became Avraham, Sarai became Sarah, Ya’akov became Israel and so it is that each of us becomes a New Creation by the revelation of Mashiyach as the Arm of YHWH revealed. As we observe Torah we also see that the teaching of Y’shua is universal and righteous, there is no fault in Mashiyach but Mashiyach points us to a higher and greater calling that brings Justice and Equality to earth that is otherwise not available. We choose Mashiyach and observe Torah, salvation is not a passive religious thing, we must choose to walk as Y’shua walked and Y’shua observed Torah and in so doing we guard ourselves from false religion and false teaching. Torah Consciousness is the work of the Ruach haKodesh which sharpens our senses towards the Kingdom of Elohim and makes us Kings and Priests unto YHWH and His Mashiyach.
The only way we can experience Torah Consciousness is to become Torah Observant, we cannot understand unless we do. We cannot make a theory about obedience, Torah or a doctrine about Torah or Mashiyach. We are called to enter into Torah, we must live Torah and the Word of YHWH must be coming out of our mouths, it must be upon our hearts, we must teach Torah in order to know and understand the Greatness of the Word of YHWH in Mashiyach. As we seek to know Truth and Justice we quickly learn that Torah is the highest form of Justice because Torah is given to us by The Lawgiver who is YHWH. Torah and Mashiyach are One. This is the Mystery that is revealed in and by the Ruach haKodesh. Our challenge today is not that we don’t have access to Torah, but that religion has “filtered” the Word of YHWH and translated Truth according to man’s religion, religion fractionalizes the Word of YHWH and thereby makes Torah Consciousness a detestable thing. Rabbinical Judaism has made Torah void by tradition and has kept Torah from Gentiles. Christianity has made Torah void by it’s tradition and attacks those who have Torah written upon their hearts making them enemies of the Church.
Torah Consciousness is a continuum from B’resheet/Genesis through Revelation and to the Olam Haba (world to come), Mashiyach is the door to Torah Consciousness, whereas religion is a detour. Torah is not words written upon a scroll, it is Life in Mashiyach, it is YHWH breathed, it is the Mind of Mashiyach and the Spirit of Mashiyach revealed, which is why the forces of evil are so intent on putting a religious mask over both Torah and Mashiyach. As Shaliach Shaul stated in Romans 7:14, “the Torah is spiritual”, it is the presence of Mashiyach that is revealed by the Ruach haKodesh. Religion translates Torah as “the law”, this is deception because Torah is YHWH’s instruction in righteous living, not an outward code of do’s and don’ts as in man’s statutory or criminal laws. The precedent of Torah is Mashiyach and has always been Mashiyach because Mashiyach existed before the foundations of the universe. If there is something wrong or incomplete with Torah, then there is something wrong and incomplete with Mashiyach because the Word of YHWH is indivisible which is also why the carnal World rejects both YHWH and His Mashiyach and His Word, whereas man’s religion tries to divide Torah from Mashiyach. It is common knowledge in both Christianity and Judaism that the Word of YHWH gave Torah to Moshe and Mashiyach is the Word of YHWH who came in the flesh. Everything from YHWH comes to us in Mashiyach because YHWH is outside of time and space but Mashiyach is the connection between YHWH and man. Y’shua stated:
“For if only you had believed in Moshe, you would also be believers in me, for Moshe wrote concerning me. And, if you do not believe the writings of that man, how will you believe my words?”
To believe in Moshe means to put trust in YHWH, that His Word is Set Apart, Just and Good. To believe in Moshe means to observe Torah and be obedient Israelites, whether one considers themselves to be spiritual or natural Israel. Believe (amawn) in Hebrew is the basis of the word Faith (emunah) therefore belief is not a cerebral or intellectual knowing but to “be”, to intellectualize (or believe things about) Moshe and Torah and Mashiyach is much different than to do. Belief is to know and experience something personally, not theoretically. If you are disobedient to YHWH’s Word then you don’t believe the Word of YHWH, those who are disobedient to YHWH have denied Mashiyach.
False religion intellectualizes John 5:46 to mean that Moshe prophesied of the person of Y’shua as Mashiyach, but this is not the point. The point is that those who are obedient to Moshe are being obedient to Mashiyach, because Moshe is a type of Mashiyach. Moshe brought the Word of YHWH, written by the finger of YHWH to his people. Mashiyach is the handiwork of YHWH he is the Living Torah revealed, therefore those who make void Torah, are in fact bringing Mashiyach to naught and are nullifying their own existence in the Malchut Elohim. To increase our level of Torah consciousness we must observe and do Torah, and this is pleasing to YHWH and His Mashiyach because this sanctifies (sets apart) our will and actions as YHWH’s children.
There is one Torah and only one. Torah is the continuum of YHWH’s revelation to mankind from Adam and Eve right through the times in which we now live. YHWH’s instruction is magnified in Mashiyach, Torah consciousness is increased in Mashiyach as thoughts, intents and motives are judged by the Ruach haKodesh according to the Spirit and Word of YHWH. Disciples of Y’shua bring every thought into subjection to Mashiyach therefore Torah Consciousness in Mashiyach is dynamic and has unlimited potential to transform the sinner into the image of Elohim.
David stated that the Torah of YHWH is perfect converting the soul (Psalm 19:7), because David could see Mashiyach in Torah, and Torah in Mashiyach. Notice that the word shuv (converting) really means to return to and this is what it means to be “born again.” It means to return to the beginning as if you had been brought back to the beginning with Adam and Eve before sin entered. Therefore Torah Consciousness is this connection between us and YHWH, according to the Malki Tsedec priesthood. We must also bear in mind that YHWH Tsidkenu is the office or title that Mashiyach reveals and these things are his attributes that are gained according to Torah Consciousness. So what then is Torah Consciousness? It is haMishchah (the anointing) of the Ruach haKodesh because it is the Ruach haKodesh that writes Torah upon the heart.
If you are new to Torah Consciousness and have a desire to be obedient to YHWH then let the Spirit of YHWH guide you into all Truth. Refuse to be disheartened by the negative attacks against your willingness to be obedient. Reject the religious platitudes that Jesus observed “the Law” so that you don’t have to. Reject the false prophets and teachers who spiritualize Torah as a way of breaking Torah and who elevate their intellectual models of belief over the simplicity of observing Torah and delighting to keep the Word of YHWH through obedience. When we treasure the Word of YHWH in our hearts then we are as children who are obedient to our Heavenly Father and not trying to poke holes by our own human reasoning into the “Old Testament”. YHWH is the same yesterday, today and forever he changes not, we are the ones who have “changed” and therefore it is incumbent upon each of us to return to YHWH.
YHWH be with you,
Baruch Ben Daniel
ps when we speak of Mashiyach before Y’shua came to earth we are referring moreso to the Spirit of Mashiyach, which is the Ruach haKodesh. Mashiyach is the Word of YHWH. Before Mashiyach came to earth he appeared as the Messenger of YHWH who has a different office than other Messengers. Mashiyach appeared to Avraham and Joshua in the form of a man, and in the same form when he walked around the Galilee as Y’shua. There would be no reason for YHWH to reveal another persona of Mashiyach but the point is that his flesh is not YHWH and it is contrary to Torah to emphasize his outward appearance. We are instructed to not make images of anything in heaven or on earth because it is idolatry and paganism to worship the form of a man, even if we think our intentions are pure. Will Mashiyach look the same when he returns? Yes why wouldn’t he, but Mashiyach ben Yoseph is an extended work of Mashiyach ben David, “they shall look upon me whom they have pierced and they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for his firstborn” (Zechariah 12:10). When Mashiyach ben David comes it will be to fulfill the office of earthly Government of YHWH, when he came as Mashiyach ben Yoseph it was to point earthlings to the heavenly Government and Creator YHWH, his Father. He came first to write Torah upon our hearts and he will return to establish his Torah government throughout the earth.
